Evelyn Brooks was born with a pencil in her hand. She was called to protect the innocence and safety of all children.
Brooks will give Texas back to Texans by protecting the freedom, sovereignty, and privacy of our citizens.
Working families are experiencing financial hardships and increasing loss of jobs. Texas deserves leadership that will invest tax dollars wisely and deliver real value for our communities – accountable, responsible leadership that puts Texans first.

— Principle of Liberty
Evelyn Brooks has over 26 years of extensive experience educating and inspiring young people to strive for excellence, to think independently, and to develop self-discipline. She has been an elementary classroom teacher, substitute teacher, homeschool educator, facilitator, and founder of a small private school.
Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bowie State University and has taught in Prince George’s County, Denver Public Schools, and Fairfax County Public Schools. Evelyn maintains active engagement across the 18 counties she represents – building relationships with parents, administrators, and local leaders.
Evelyn believes in proven, traditional methods of instruction where certified teachers are empowered to set expectations, maintain order, and create environments where students can flourish academically.
Evelyn and her husband Brian have been married for 22 years and are the proud parents of two daughters. For more than a decade, their family has provided educational opportunities and college tuition to students in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as part of Evelyn’s lifelong commitment to helping all children succeed.
Evelyn is running for governor because Texans deserve accountable leadership – leaders who invest tax dollars wisely, protect our freedoms, and put people before special interests or government bureaucracy. She believes Texas families need real solutions to combat rising costs, shifting job markets, and the challenges facing Texans.
